Organisers of the 2018 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards(AMVCA) has released this year’s nominee list. Plane Forced To Make Emergency Landing After One Passenger’s “Unbearable” Body Odour Makes Others Vomit And Faint....O MY GOD A plane was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger’s “unbearable” body odour caused other passengers around him to vomit and faint. The Transavia flight to the Spanish holiday island of Gran Canaria took off from Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands but was soon forced to make an unexpected detour when travelers became distressed by the stench of a man who “smelt like he hadn’t washed in weeks”. The man smelt so bad other passengers started to faint and vomit. Staff on board the Transavia service reportedly tried to quarantine him in a toilet of the Boeing 737 before the pilots were forced to divert the flight.  They landed in Faro in southern Portugal so the foul-smelling man could be removed from the flight. An Islamic preacher in Kuwait, Mubarak al-Bathali has slammed Liverpool’s Egyptian footballer,  Mohamed Salah with claims that the Liverpool player was punished by God for breaking his fast before the UEFA Champions League final game against Real Madrid in Kyiv. Salah sustained an injuring when he tussled for the ball with Sergio Ramos. During the tussle, he landed on his left shoulder which resulted in his game ending abruptly. According to Mubarak al-Bathali, the injury sustained by the player is as a result of him breaking his fast which is a disobedient act. Muslim’s are allowed to break their fast for travel purposes, but the Kuwaiti preacher believes the highly rated player didn’t break his fast because of the journey from England to Ukraine.  He believes Mohamed Salah broke his fast because of the match itself.  A twi tter user identified King ANi Nomso has revealed the frantic efforts made by security operatives to arrest from internet fraudsters in Benin, South-south part of Nigeria. This is coming as an internet fraudster reportedly sold a bakery belonging to a white man to another white man for N25 million. According to Ani Nomso, the fraudster was confident enough to take his victim around the bakery in question. This has prompted members of the Edo State Police Command to engage in the widespread arrest of suspected internet scammers. Nonso announced, “SARS in anger are picking boys around the area. As far as you are breathing, you are a thief”. He went on to reveal that the police intended to storm the premises of the University of Benin but school authorities denied them entry. Court remands 21-year-old for allegedly stabbing friend while asleep An Osun Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ile-Ife

The Federal Government has ordered an investigation into the invasion of the National Assembly and theft of the mace from the Senate. Several individuals suspected to be thugs had entered the Senate chamber during plenary around 11:30 am, snatched and went away with the mace. Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, said in a statement that the Federal Government was shocked by the incident and has ordered a probe. The security agencies are “to immediately unravel the circumstances surrounding the breach of security that led to the invasion”, the statement signed by a Special Adviser to the minister, Mr Segun Adeyemi, read in part. In addition to that, the statement said security would also be reinforced to prevent a recurrence.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it has acquired six brand new helicopters, to reinvigorate the nation’s air power. Chief of Air Staff (CAS),  Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar , who made the disclosure in Abuja, said this was the first time in about 18 years that the NAF will be making such acquisition. Abubakar made the disclosure at the “winging” ceremony of 12 pilots, who will be deployed to boost the air component of Operation Lafiya Dole in the North-East, and other internal security operations across the country.  “This is the first time in about 18 years that we are acquiring six brand new helicopters for the air force,” the CAS said.
