AAUA 7TH CONVOCATION PRESS BRIEFING BY THE VICE CHANCELLOR, ADEKUNLE AJASIN UNIVERSITY,HELD ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2017

The Deputy Vice Chancellor,The Registrar,The Bursar,The University Librarian,Other Officers of the University,Gentlemen of the Press, I heartily welcome you to the Press Briefing of the 7th Convocation Ceremony of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, and the 2nd under my watch since I took office on January 6, 2015. You will recall that the first Convocation I held as Vice Chancellor of this Institution and, indeed, the University's 6th convocation, was during my first year in office in 2015. The University could not hold a convocation ceremony last year due to financial challenges. You will also kindly recall that the nation’s serious economic challenges became glaring from 2015. This has made the governance of public institutions in Nigeria very challenging. Most universities are grappling with paying workers' salaries, while infrastructural development has been pushed to the rear seat. 2016/2017 ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE

aug 03 This is to inform all UTME and Direct Entry candidates who applied for admission to Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, for the 2016/2017 academic session that the Admission Screening Exercise will commence from 26th July, 2016. Candidates eligible for the screening are: Those who made Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko their first choice of University in the 2016/2017 UTME and scored 180 and above; and  Direct Entry candidates who chose AAUA as their first or second choice University. AAUA Intensifies Preparations on Pre-NUGA, NUSGA Competitions

AUG 03 Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has upped her preparations for this year’s Pre-Nigeria Universities Games Association, Pre-NUGA, and Nigeria Universities Staff Game Association, NUSGA, competitions which will hold at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi and the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, respectively. The Chief Coach of the University, Mr. Bolanle Babalola, made this known last week Tuesday while briefing the Information Unit of the University on the level of preparation, saying both staff and students taking part in the competitions are undergoing serious training. Mr. Babalola said, “We are seriously training for the competition which is slated to hold November and December of this year. We are putting in all our efforts to ensure we do our University proud as we are known for. Our trainings are slated for 7:00 am-8:00 am and 4:00 pm -6:00pm on a daily basis to give room for maximal participation.” He urged the stude
