Ambode advises polytechnic graduates to create jobs

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Thursday said alumni of polytechnics and schools of innovation in the nation should utilize their preparation and abilities to make occupations and move toward becoming bosses of work as opposed to work searchers.

The representative talked amid the 26th meeting of the Lagos State Polytechnic in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Ambode, who was spoken to by the Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule, noticed that the monetary atmosphere of the nation required that youthful business visionaries be resolved to make riches and work openings.

"On our part, we will keep on moving instruction from the standard of endorsement securing to the level of information improvement through innovation and abilities obtaining.

"No general public can create without great interest in the training of its natives, or giving an empowering domain to thoughts to flourish.

In his address, the polytechnic Rector, Mr. Samuel Sogunro, stated, "By getting to be work makers, you (graduates) will have your impact in stemming down the level of sadness among youthful graduates who look for the non-promptly accessible office occupations."

Sogunro named the general best graduating understudy as Omotoyosi Fatogun, with Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA) of 3.81 in the School of Pure and Applied Sciences, Department of Science Laboratory Technology.

The Chairman, Governing Council of the polytechnic, Prof. Tajudeen Gbadamosi, vowed to accomplice the legislature in tending to a significant number of the difficulties that influenced the advancement of the state.
