PreNUGANews

Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has upped her preparations for this year’s Pre-Nigeria Universities Games Association, Pre-NUGA, and Nigeria Universities Staff Game Association, NUSGA, competitions which will hold at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi and the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja, respectively.
The Chief Coach of the University, Mr. Bolanle Babalola, made this known last week Tuesday while briefing the Information Unit of the University on the level of preparation, saying both staff and students taking part in the competitions are undergoing serious training.
Mr. Babalola said, “We are seriously training for the competition which is slated to hold November and December of this year. We are putting in all our efforts to ensure we do our University proud as we are known for. Our trainings are slated for 7:00 am-8:00 am and 4:00 pm -6:00pm on a daily basis to give room for maximal participation.”
He urged the students and staff to avail themselves of the opportunities of keeping themselves fit with facilities and machines in the school gym even as they go about their daily activities.
He comments, “The main reason the University Sport Council was established is not just for winning laurels at NUGA for the university. The National University Commission’s objective for establishing sport events is to ensure physical fitness for both students and staff as they carry out their roles in the university
